Wellness System "Copyright Technogym®"

The Wellness System allows trainers to design an individual exercise programme for a member, keep track of the member's workouts, and provide feedback in several important ways - all without having to put anything on paper (unless you want to). Much of the information is gathered automatically. By inserting the TGS Key, exercise machines are automatically set for the member, adjusting distance, speed, and workload. It even sets limits in some cases, so that members with physical difficulties won't overtax themselves.
As members use equipment, their workouts are recorded in the Wellness System.

The system also shows videos on proper exercising and stretching. Biometric information, such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels, can be recorded, too. The information can be used to make and print out charts and graphs used to motivate members and make adjustments to exercise programmes. Members can use all this information, update personal information, make changes to their workout plan, and create reports.
Trainers get a lot of information that helps improve services to the member.
Members get a fun and motivating way to see what they've accomplished.

The TGS Key
	The TGS Key is a key-shaped microchip that carries information about each member's workout. Members begin their training programmes when they check in at the club by inserting the TGS Key into the Wellness Expert kiosk. As each exercise machine is used, the member inserts the TGS Key into a console attached to the machine, which recognizes the member and adjusts the machine to his or her pre-set requirements, as well as gives the member any instructions needed. Data on the member's workout is automatically stored on the TGS Key.
There are no wires connecting equipment to the computer. The TGS Key collects the data and moves it to the various components. When members check out, they again insert their keys into the Wellness Expert kiosk, transferring all data collected during their visits into the club's database. Data collected can be used in a variety of report formats for the user, trainer, manager, physician or employer.

The Wellness Expert kiosk

The Wellness Expert™ kiosk is a custom-built unit with a touch screen, a computer with network card, printer, Wellness Expert™ software, and multimedia. The kiosk is designed for quick-and-easy interaction. Members begin their workouts by inserting their TGS Keys into the kiosk. On the screen they can review their workout plans, check for messages, and update workout information. If they wish, they can view brief, instructive videos demonstrating exercise equipment, proper stretching techniques, and floor exercises.

When members finish their workouts, they again insert their TGS Keys into the kiosk, which allows them to view their past workouts in the form of charts and graphs, and even compare their distance to an imaginary Tour de France course or the New York Marathon. Reports can show calories burned, distance covered, weight lifted, and workloads. These can then be printed out for the member's use or to share with friends, doctors, therapists, trainers, or whomever they wish.
Members can also send messages to trainers or other members.

For the member

Ease of use of the equipment.
Data such as heart rate or blood pressure can be recorded and tracked over time.
Data can be recorded at the Wellness Expert kiosk.
Members can enter workouts done outside the club at the Wellness Expert kiosk.
Members can create their own exercise programmes, using any equipment they choose, and record their exercises as they go

If a member chooses a different weight on a machine, the system will record that setting. Up to 365 different workout sessions can be recorded in a member's data. Workout reports can be configured to show calories burned, distance covered, intensity, weight lifted, duration, and volume. Totals are computed over a specific date range. Members can send messages to the Wellness Expert kiosk.
