There are no magic solutions but we offer personalised support, the best personal trainers and all the equipment and programs you will need to start to achieve your goals.

Leah afterLeah before

Leah. At the age of 23 after a few years of no exercise and lots of take-away food I began to hate the way I looked and the fact that I couldn’t wear the clothes that everyone else my age was wearing. I weighed 85 kg and didn’t feel comfortable enough to take the "before" photo until I lost the first 6 kg.
But I wanted more… so I joined this gym. I loved it so much that I became an instructor, but still weighed much more than I was comfortable with.
After another few years of no weight change Pump was introduced and with a little change to my diet I took off another 10 kgs in 7 weeks. Everyone was amazed with the change in my shape, but I knew I could achieve more and I love challenges. I increased my aerobic activity and lost 7 kgs over a 6 months. I again hit a brick wall and finally decided I had achieved the best results I could. WRONG!!! As a personal trainer I decided to do P/T myself with Kain and once again I achieved a reduction in body fat, increased my strength and eventually took the ‘after shot’. Leah (Staff member).


Ahley beforeAshley afterAshley. After seeing photos of my bum looking like the back end of a bus and being TOTALLY unfit, I decided to DO something about it. I changed my lifestyle, my eating habits and started exercising (something I hadn’t done for 20 years).
The first day exercising was horrible and I thought I was going to vomit! I persevered and did a little bit more every day. The first week I lost 5", the second week 4 and so on. I have had a total loss of 30" and now wear a size 10. My body fat has decreased by ± 17% and cardio has increased 10 fold. I lost this excess baggage in a remarkably short time (6 months) and have kept it off.

I did have some help though. Through the support of North Adelaide Fitness Centre and Personal Training I have reached this level and now want to concentrate on more muscle definition. I am now striving for Linda Hamilton’s arms from Terminator 2!

So from being a blobby couch potato, I now work out 3 times a week, with PT sessions once a week, have loads more energy ad confidence and I feel comfortable in my skin. I don’t need to be Miss Universe, just happy! Its a lifestyle choice!

How I have benefited from personal training! Having someone there to help you train is an invaluable asset. At my level of competition I can’t afford to be injured, so having someone watch my technique while safely pushing me past my limits is most important. My trainer (Leah) knows my body and knows what I can and can’t do. She knows where I need to be strong and where I can improve. I have improved in strength all over and see personal training as an important tool in helping me on making my third Olympics.

Well it's a work in Progress… I became a member at this centre because I felt weak and sluggish. Most mornings I woke with stiff joints and lower back pain. I often had to have naps in the afternoon and still I couldn’t make it past 9:30 in the evenings. I would strain if I had to pick up my toddler. I had also become overweight and unfit through years of inactivity.

I began with pump classes and then worked with a personal trainer once a week. A year later I am happy that I no longer wake with back pain. I have built up my muscles now so that I can pick up my toddler over my head without feeling as though something would snap. I rarely nap now, and have the energy to go into the late evening. I have lost 10kg and centimetres from every part of my body.

I’ve struggled with weight issues all my life and have made dramatic weight loss through dieting before, but this weight loss has been steady and secure, mainly from the change to my metabolism as I have built up muscle, rather than dieting. I watch what I eat now but that has come naturally after the improvements in my well-being. Linda

As I’ve become physically stronger so I have become mentally stronger too. The two go and in hand. I’m more confident as a person, and not so shy in taking on challenges. Classes and personal training has worked for me to achieve some of my original goals, but it has also helped me make those lifestyle changes that are going to see me through the long haul.
