Strength For Life is a program designed by (COTA National Seniors) which aims to increase the range and quality of strength training opportunities for older people.

By working in partnership with fitness, health and community centres we have been able to develop and provide a safe, welcoming, and effective strength training program for older people.

The benefits of the program are:

- You’ll enjoy the company
- Your quality of life will improve
- Your self confidence will grow

You are NEVER too old to benefit from the Strength for life program.

Strength training has been shown to help alleviate the effects of type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis, reduce the risk of falling and improve mental wellbeing.

Research has shown that resistance training for older people will improve strength, balance, walking, lifting, bending, flexibility and co-ordination - which will improve functioning ability for independent daily living.
